Floor Sanding and polishing is carried out in a number of steps. A typical breakdown of floor sanding steps is set out:
- all furniture is removed and floors are swept clean before floor sanding commences.
- nails need to be punched
- nail holes and other imperfections need to be filled with a colour matched wood filler.
- floors are sanded using an industrial belt floor sander. Edges are sanded using a custom edge sander.
- 3 coats of polyurethane are applied over three days with light sanding between coats.

Floors should be re sanded and polished every 5 years (depending on wear). Re sanding and polishing requires only a light sand and helps preserve flooring. |
